One day inside the forest. Walk it, eat in it, see what four years of Miyawaki looks like.

DAY VISIT · 9AM–6PM · SUNDAYS · 45 MIN FROM SG HIGHWAY

A 4-year-old Miyawaki forest you can walk inside.

Monkey Forest at Kolat, Ahmedabad is one of India's rare privately cultivated urban forests — over 3,00,000 trees and shrubs planted using the Japanese Miyawaki technique. Dense native species layered for rapid canopy closure, cooling the microclimate by 5°C compared to surrounding land.

Day visits are hosted every Sunday, 9 AM – 6 PM. Groups are kept small to preserve the experience. Booking via enquiry form — we confirm by WhatsApp.

Walk the canopy trail

A curated path through the densest part of the forest. Guided or self-guided with a map. Most visitors say it's the first time they've heard silence this close to Ahmedabad.

5°C cooler than the city

The Miyawaki method creates a microclimate. On a 40° Ahmedabad afternoon, the forest floor sits around 35.5°. We measure this daily — the number is real.

3,00,000+ trees & shrubs

Native species: Jamun, Arjun, Neem, Peepal, Karanj, and 36 others — planted at two to four times the density of a conventional plantation.
